"Wicked West" dot COMM Awards Gold winner 2024
The following are two samples from a series of five episodes of the program "Wicked West," made for KGW in Portland. Each episode focused on a wild or weird element from Oregon's past. I animated and did sound design for these two episodes and made detailed storyboards for the other episodes.
"1619" - 2020 Communication Arts Award of Excellence
I made these animations and did the sound design and conceptualization. They were used in a documentary special for WUSA in Washington, D.C.

I made this composited animated and live talent explainer for WTIC in Hartford, Connecticut with Pierce Murphy, who made all of the cork-board-based portions, following my storyboards.

This is a sample from the package, featuring a long open for which I made all graphics and animation. The package in its entirety featured works by other artists including Dakota Hitt, Collin White, and Jaime Roy.

"Belonging" - Platinum Promax 2021, Platinum MarCom 2021, 2020 Upper Midwest Regional Emmy
The first 20 seconds of this video were animated by Olivia Babeu, who also edited it. I conceptualized and storyboarded it, and made all the animation after the 20 second mark.
"Lien on Me" - Promax silver 2019
I conceptualized and storyboarded this graphic, and did most of the animation. 3D animation was made by Toby Sjolander, additional motion graphics by Amie Casaldi, and editing/sound design by Eleni Hosack. It was written and voiced by Chris Vanderveen.
"Inside the ICU" - Hermes Gold 2022
I made this for KUSA in Denver. All of the art, animation, sound design, concepts, storyboards, etc. are from me. The voice audio was taken from footage shot by and edited by Christopher Hansen.
"Prone" - Heartland Regional Emmy 2022, Peabody 2022 (for journalism)
I made this with Olivia Babeu, who created all of the kinetic text, as well as the map portions. I also made additional infographics for this series. Chris Vanderveen wrote it and won a Peabody (I can't claim this award, but I'll take the association).
"Cohort" - Platinum AVA 2021
This piece was written and voiced by Chris Vanderveen. Collin White edited it and created the animation on the map. I storyboarded it, made all of the vector artwork and animation, and did the sound design.

I made this stinger for an investigative reporter at KARE 11 in Minneapolis.

This was not entered in any award competitions, but I'm still showing it here, because it's a good example of my work.
